The Vocaloid Collection 2026 Summer: Great Songs I'm Glad I Listened To
It is me.
The Vocaloid Collection 2026 Summer has come to an end.
I do not usually listen to things like The Vocaloid Collection at all, but a few songs that piqued my interest showed up on my Twitter timeline, so I thought I would give various tracks a listen.
So, here are a few songs I listened to during the event that made me think, “I am really glad I listened to this.”
This is not a ranking. In no particular order.
About spoilers for Magical Mirai 2026
When I first heard “世界最後の音楽隊” (“The World’s Last Band”), for some reason, it did not feel like the first time I was hearing it.
After listening to it a few times, I realized.
It was the song played as song number 0 at the daytime performance on Day 1 of Magical Mirai 2026 Osaka!!
I was honestly so happy to figure it out.
This kick, this Miku’s voice, I knew all of it. I wanted to lead this song to victory… Thank you, Vocaloid Collection. Thank you.
夏山よつぎ × ど～ぱみん -「世界最後の音楽隊」feat.初音ミク (Yotsugi Natsuyama × dopamine - “The World’s Last Band” feat. Hatsune Miku)
As a Level 4 Dopagaki, all I can understand is that:
- I really love the kick in this song
- Miku is cute
- Miku’s tuning
- The fleeting tuning is the absolute best
- Tears definitely come welling up
- This song pushes me forward and makes me feel like walking through the world together for now
It is a good song.
Personally, it is my top recommendation.
重内音則『コント MV依頼』(Noriaki Shigenouchi “Skit: Request for MV”)
While properly following the stream of comedy’s new wave, it also sprinkled in common foreshadowing, allowing me to watch a surprisingly high-quality skit.
Wait, what was The Vocaloid Collection again? Well, putting that aside.
重音テトvsダンプカー / 重音テトVS (Kasane Teto vs Dump Truck / Kasane Teto VS)
The new work by the problem child, Yamamoto.
Until it hit the chorus, I thought it was a collection of solo stand-up bits, but once the chorus started, it had Kasane Teto saying something deep.
Or so I thought, but knowing Yamamoto, it is probably not that deep.
That said, the line “Because I can only show my value by winning” really hit home for me.
Please refrain from stabbing me out of nowhere.
重音テト「イチャラブASMRを聞かないでください」(Kasane Teto “Please Don’t Listen to Flirty Love ASMR”)
My absolute favorite!! cosMo@BousouP’s first Teto song!!!!!! (If my memory serves me right)
It is good.
It is really good.
It is extremely good.

I thought the harmonica was very well played.
Also, the final fever mode track is so interesting.

What is with this insanely cool piano, kick, and the group of six?!!!?
First Streetlight, and now this… can you only write songs that I love!???!
初音ミク『恋』(Hatsune Miku “Love”)
A proud 2nd place.
I think there was a very real world line where this took the championship. It is such a complete song.
I learned about this artist through the song “個々々々々々人” (“Kokokokokokojin”), and they are truly skilled at creating a world view.
Before you know it, you are drawn in, captivated, and then sent back. They make that kind of song.
This track also seems structured to be easy to recommend to others, with features like:
- The catchy phrase “Ah-ah”
- Lyrics that are not too difficult
- An MV featuring a good old-fashioned single illustration
音楽はつづく feat. 初音ミク・鏡音リン・鏡音レン・巡音ルカ・MEIKO・KAITO (“Music Goes On” feat. Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, KAITO)
Calling it a “god-tier song” is far too much of a waste for this track.
The six of them affirm the journey that I, and all of us, have taken so far.
Just that alone brings pure salvation.
